Our Editorial Policy

How we research, write, review and correct the articles you read on GiftedBrain Academy.

GiftedBrain Academy publishes articles to help students learn faster, remember more, and build habits that lead to strong academic outcomes. Every article on this site follows the standards below.

Who writes for us

Our articles are written and reviewed by the GiftedBrain Academy team, led by co-founders Jesugbogo Enis and Oluwatosin Akinmoju. The team has worked directly with more than 2,000 students across 30+ secondary schools in Nigeria, delivering workshops, debates and outreach programs since 2019.

Every author has classroom experience with the SUPERFAST Framework and writes from first-hand practice — not just theory.

How we research

  • We draw on peer-reviewed research in cognitive science, learning theory and educational psychology.
  • When we cite a study, technique or statistic, we link to the original source where possible.
  • We pressure-test techniques with our student community before recommending them.
  • We use plain English and real examples, not jargon.

Fact checking and review

Draft articles are reviewed by at least one other team member before publication. Reviewers check the article for factual accuracy, clarity, safety of any advice given to students, and consistency with what we teach in workshops.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it and note the correction inside the article. To report an error, email giftedbrainacademy@gmail.com with the article link and the issue. We respond within five working days.

Updates

Learning research evolves. We revisit older articles and update them when guidance changes, when we discover better examples, or when a technique needs a clearer explanation. Substantially updated posts show a new date.

Independence and advertising

Our editorial team decides what to publish independently of any advertiser, affiliate or sponsor. Ads, when present, are clearly labelled as "Advertisement" and never influence our recommendations. We do not accept payment in exchange for positive coverage of a product, school or program.

Affiliate and product links

When we link to our own paid programs (such as the SUPERFAST E-Book or the JAMB Success Community) we say so plainly. We only recommend third-party tools or books that our team has personally used with students.

User comments

Readers can comment on articles. We moderate comments for spam, abuse and personal attacks. Comments do not represent the views of GiftedBrain Academy.
